Design Does Matter

Design Does Matter, a principal of Teknion’s product design and function, helps advance awareness and understanding of the role of design, as well as the skills that designers bring to business — from product development to communications to organizational structure and process.

Design thinking should be as much a part of business strategy as is the form and function of furniture products. As Teknion continues to investigate and integrate design into various activities — product development, communications, organizational development — design will prove to be a powerful tool for realizing a world of rich and sustained abundance. Indeed, sustainability is now understood as a basic tenet of good design and a principle of doing business at Teknion.

Given the economic and environmental dilemmas of our time, ACI, along with our furniture partner, Teknion, believe that effective design matters now more than ever. This conviction is central to our philosophy and culture.
